68 – (Ṣaḥīḥ) It is also reported from Abū Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“When the call to prayer is made, Satan turns and flees, passing wind so that he will not hear the adhān. When the call is finished he returns; when the iqāmah is pronounced he turns away again, and when the iqāmah ends he comes back, until he slips between a person and his own thoughts. He then says, ‘Remember this, remember that,’ things the person had never been thinking of, until the worshipper ends up unaware of how many rakʿahs he has performed.”
