43 – (Sound) It is narrated from ʿUbadah ibn al-Ṣāmit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ said:
Whoever awakens during the night and says: “la ilaha illa Allah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahu-l-ḥamd wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr, al-ḥamdu lillah, subḥāna Allah, la ilaha illa Allah, Allahu akbar, la ḥawla wa la quwwata illa billāhi-l-ʿaliyyi-l-ʿaẓīm (There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner; to Him belongs sovereignty and praise, and He has power over all things. All praise is due to Allah; glory be to Allah; there is no god but Allah; Allah is the Greatest; and there is no might nor power except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great),” and then adds, “Allāhumma-ghfir lī (O Allah, forgive me),” or makes any other supplication, it will be granted. If he then performs wuduʾ (ablution) and prays, his prayer will be accepted.
