241 – (mursal) It is reported from ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with him):
He once removed something from a man’s beard—or from his head—and the man said, “May Allah turn harm away from you.” ʿUmar replied, “Allah has been turning harm away from us since we embraced Islam. Instead, when someone removes something from you, say: ‘May your hands have brought good.’”
