238 – Authentic – Abu al-Malīḥ narrates from a man who said: “I was riding behind the Prophet ﷺ when his mount stumbled, so I exclaimed, ‘May Satan be ruined!’ He replied, ‘Do not say, “May Satan be ruined,” for when you say that he swells until he is as large as a house and boasts, “It is by my power.” Instead, say, ‘In the name of Allah,’ for when you say that he shrinks until he is like a fly.’ ⦗174⦘
