230 – (sound when all of its transmission routes are combined) On the authority of ʿUmar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

Whoever enters the marketplace and says: lā ilāha illā Allāh waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu’l-mulku wa lahu’l-ḥamdu, yuḥyī wa yumīt, wa huwa ḥayyun lā yamūt, biyadihi’l-khayr, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr (There is no god but Allah alone, without partner; sovereignty and praise belong to Him; He gives life and causes death; He is Ever-Living and never dies; all goodness is in His hand, and He has power over all things), Allah will record for him one million good deeds, erase one million bad deeds, and elevate him by one million degrees. ⦗169⦘
