Takhrij al-Kalim al-TayyibIbn Taimiya

226 – (ḥasan) Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would rarely rise from a gathering without supplicating these words for his Companions:

“O Allah, apportion for us such awe of You as will stand between us and disobedience to You; and such obedience as will convey us to Your Garden; and such certainty as will make the calamities of this world easy for us to bear.
O Allah, grant us enjoyment of our hearing, our sight, and our strength for as long as You keep us alive, and make them the last things to fade; make our retribution fall upon those who wrong us, support us against those who show us enmity.
Do not let our affliction strike in our religion, do not make this world our greatest concern nor the limit of our knowledge, and do not place in authority over us anyone who will show us no mercy.” ⦗167⦘
