214 – (fair through corroborating reports) ʿAmr ibn Shuʿayb—through his father, from his grandfather—narrated that the Prophet ﷺ instructed that the newborn be named on the seventh day, that the offending hair be removed from him, and that the ʿaqīqah (the newborn’s sacrificial offering) be carried out.
