212 – (fabricated) It is related from al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī—may Allah be pleased with them both—that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “When someone is blessed with a newborn, if he pronounces the adhan in the baby’s right ear and the iqama in the left, umm al-sibyān (a female jinn believed to afflict infants) will not harm the child.”
