208 – (Hasan) ʿAmr ibn Shuʿayb narrated, through his father and grandfather, that the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—said:

“When any one of you marries a woman or purchases a servant, let him say:
‘O Allah, I ask You for the goodness that is within her and the goodness You have molded in her nature, and I seek refuge in You from her evil and the evil You have molded in her nature.’

And when he buys a camel, let him grasp the top of its hump and recite the same supplication.”
