203 – (Sound)
Abu Hurayrah—may Allah be pleased with him—reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:

“Allah loves sneezing and He dislikes yawning. So when any one of you sneezes and says al-ḥamdu li-llāh (praise be to Allah), it becomes incumbent upon every Muslim who hears him to reply, yarḥamuka Allah (may Allah have mercy on you). As for yawning, it is only from Satan; therefore, if one of you feels the urge to yawn, let him push it back as best he can, for when one of you yawns Satan laughs at him.”
