198 – (Hasan) ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, “Peace be upon you.” The Prophet returned his greeting, and the man sat down. The Prophet then said, “Ten.”

Another came and said, “Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.” The Prophet returned his greeting, and the man sat down. He said, “Twenty.”

A third came and said, “Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.” The Prophet returned his greeting, and when the man sat down, he said, “Thirty.”
