188 – (Fair) Muʿādh ibn Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever eats some food and then says, ‘al-ḥamdu li-llāh alladhī aṭʿamanī hādhā wa razaqanīhi min ghayri ḥawlin minnī wa lā quwwah’ (All praise is for Allah who fed me this and provided it for me without any power or ability on my part), his past sins will be forgiven.” ⦗151⦘
