19 – (Hasan, sound) ʿAbd Allah ibn Khubayb said:
“We went out on a night of heavy rain and deep darkness looking for the Prophet ﷺ so that he might lead us in prayer. When we found him, he said, ‘Say.’ I remained silent. Then he said, ‘Say,’ and I remained silent. He said a third time, ‘Say.’ I replied, ‘Messenger of Allah, what shall I say?’ He said:
‘Recite qul huwa Allahu ahad (Surah al-Ikhlas) and the two protective chapters (the Muʿawwidhatayn) when you enter the evening and when you enter the morning, three times. They will suffice you against every harm.’
