147 – (Authentic) On the authority of ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her):
Whenever someone suffered from an ailment, or had an ulcer or a wound, the Prophet ﷺ would act as follows. With his finger he would touch the earth like this—Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah then placed his forefinger on the ground and lifted it—and he would say:

“In the name of Allah. With the soil of our land, mixed with the saliva of some of us, may the sick among us be healed by the permission of our Lord.”
