143 – (Sound) Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) also said: The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—came in to Abu Salama when his gaze had become fixed, so he closed his eyes and said, “When the soul is taken, the eyes follow it.” Some members of the household cried out, whereupon he said, “Do not invoke anything but good upon yourselves, for the angels say āmīn to whatever you utter.” He then supplicated:
“O Allah, forgive Abu Salama, raise his rank among the rightly guided, be the Guardian of his descendants among those who survive him, forgive us and him, O Lord of all realms, make his grave spacious and fill it with light.” ⦗128⦘
