138 – (Weak chain) ʿAwf ibn Mālik, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:
The Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—passed judgment between two men. As the man against whom the verdict was given turned to leave, he said, “ḥasbi Allah wa niʿma al-wakīl (Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best trustee).” The Prophet—peace be upon him—remarked, “Allah reproaches helplessness; instead, be astute and proactive. If a matter nevertheless overpowers you, then say: ḥasbi Allah wa niʿma al-wakīl.” ⦗125⦘

إن الله يلوم على العجز ولكن عليك بالكيس فإذا غلبك أمر فقل: حسبي الله ونعم الوكيل
