136 – Sound (ḥasan). Abū Zumayl said: “I asked Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with them both), ‘There is something I find within myself—namely a whisper of doubt. What should I do?’ He replied, ‘Whenever you experience anything of that kind within yourself, say: He is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden, and He is, of all things, All-Knowing.’ ⦗124⦘
