130 – Authentic (ṣaḥīḥ). In the report of Abū Saʿīd and others, the Prophet ﷺ used to say:

“I seek refuge with Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from Satan the accursed— from his whisper, his blowing, and his spitting.”

This conforms to Allah’s words: “If a prompting from Satan stirs you, then seek refuge in Allah; surely He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.” (41:36)

The adhān—the call to prayer—drives Satan away.
