124 – (Sound) ʿAbd Allah ibn Masʿūd—may Allah be pleased with him—reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
“Whenever a servant is stricken by worry or grief and then says: ‘O Allah, I am Your servant, the son of Your male servant, the son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand; Your command over me is ever carried out; Your decree concerning me is always just. I ask You by every name that is Yours—by which You have named Yourself, revealed in Your Book, taught to any of Your creation, or kept exclusive in the knowledge of the unseen with You—to make the Quran the springtime of my heart, the light of my breast, the dispeller of my sorrow, and the remover of my anxiety,’ Allah will certainly take away his anxiety and grief and replace them with relief.” ⦗119⦘
