104 – (Authentic) In Sunan Abū Dāwūd it is reported that the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—said to a man:

“How do you supplicate during the prayer?”

He replied, “I recite the tashahhud and then say: ‘O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and seek refuge in You from the Fire.’ I am not skilled at the humming supplications you make, nor those of Muʿādh.”

The Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—said, “It is around those very words that we too are humming.” ⦗108⦘
