102 – (Authentic) ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr (may Allah be pleased with both of them) reported that Abu Bakr al-Ṣiddīq (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him: “Teach me a supplication I can say in my prayer.” He replied:
“Say: ‘O Allah, I have wronged my own soul with many wrongs, and none forgives sins but You. So forgive me with a forgiveness from You and have mercy on me. Indeed, You are the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.’”
