(4) Copies A and B read “baʿdahum” (“after them”).
(5) Copy D vocalises the name as “ʿIyadun” with a single ḍamma; the adopted form follows A, T, and K. He is Abu l-Fadl ʿIyad ibn Musa ibn ʿIyad al-Yahsubi, the Andalusi Maliki scholar (d. 544 AH/1150 CE). See Siyar Aʿlam al-Nubalaʾ 20:212 and Azhar al-Riyad 1:23.

The work is in print.
(7) Copy H reads “al-Miyangi” (with a fatha on the mim and the yaʾ), while Z has “al-Miyaniji” (with a kasra on the nun); the accepted form follows J and M. Al-Samʿani notes in al-Ansab 12:513 that it is pronounced with a fatha on the mim and yaʾ, a fatha on the nun, and ends with a jim. The person intended is Abu Hafs ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-Majid ibn ʿUmar al-Qurashi al-Mayanaji, a hafiz (d. 581 AH/1185 CE); see al-Dhahabi, Tarikh al-Islam 12:736; al-Ibar 3:83; and al-ʿIqd al-Thamin 5:356.
