2 – It underwent a critical reading before the author himself: Fakhr al-Din ʿUmar ibn Shams al-Din Muhammad ibn ʿUmar al-Irbilī al-Shāfiʿī (1) recited it to him, and the author wrote him a formal licence at the end in his own hand, dated 840 AH.
3 – The manuscript carries corrections and notes that record variants from other copies.
4 – Its margins contain balāghāt—end-of-reading statements—written by the author himself.
5 – It also includes a few brief annotations for explanation and clarification.
6 – The scribe highlighted the main text of Nukhbat al-Fikar in red ink.
