- They unanimously declare weak the Companion reports that corroborate the hadith, even though some of them possess sound chains—such as the narrations of Ibn ʿAbbās and Ibn ʿUmar. From Ibn ʿAbbās alone the hadith is transmitted through seven separate routes.
