6 – Abu Ja‘far al-Tahawi (d. 321 AH):
It is lawful for people to look at women who are not their mahrams, but only at their faces and hands; such looking, however, is forbidden in the case of the Prophet’s wives ﷺ. This is also the opinion of Abu Hanifah, Abu Yusuf, and Muhammad. ⦗34⦘ ⦗119⦘
