[Women’s ṭawāf and saʿy are to be done walking]
10 – Al-Mughnī ⦗3/394⦘ states: “Women perform their entire ṭawāf and saʿy walking. Ibn al-Munḏir said: ‘The scholars unanimously agree that women do not perform brisk trotting (ramal) either around the House or between Ṣafā and Marwah, and that they are not required to bare the right shoulder (iḍṭibāʿ). Both practices were instituted to display physical vigor, which is not intended for women; moreover, women are to remain covered, whereas ramal and iḍṭibāʿ risk exposing them.’” End quote.

[What a menstruating woman may and may not do of the Hajj rites]
11 – What a menstruating woman may perform of the Hajj rites and what she must postpone until she is pure: A menstruating woman carries out every rite of Hajj—entering iḥrām, standing at ʿArafah, spending the night in Muzdalifah, and pelting the jamarāt—but she must not circumambulate the House until she becomes pure. This is based on the Prophet’s ﷺ statement to ʿĀʾishah when she menstruated: “Do everything the pilgrim does except that you must not circumambulate the House until you are pure.” (1) Muslim’s wording is: “Fulfil everything the pilgrim fulfils except that you must not circumambulate the House until you bathe.”

Al-Shawkānī said in Nayl al-Aṭwār ⦗5/49⦘: “The ḥadīth clearly prohibits a menstruating woman from performing ṭawāf until her bleeding has ceased and she has bathed, and the prohibition…"
