(b) Types of hypocrisy
Hypocrisy falls into two categories:

Type One: doctrinal hypocrisy—the greater form—whereby a person professes Islam outwardly while concealing disbelief within. This type expels its possessor completely from the religion, and such a person will be in the lowest depths of the Fire. Allah has portrayed its adherents with every evil quality: unbelief, lack of faith, mockery of the religion and its people, derision of them, and a total inclination toward the enemies of the faith, sharing with them in their hostility to Islam. Individuals of this sort exist in every age.
