Ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Sukkārī, and Abū Dharr al-Qurṭaysī.
He (Ibn al-Sunnī) then cited for him a single ḥadīth through the route of Saʿīd ibn ʿAbd al-Malik al-Ḥarrānī: “Al-Walīd ibn Muslim narrated to us, from Abū Isḥāq al-Fazārī, from Ibn Jurayj, from ʿAṭāʾ, from Ibn ʿUmar who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out accompanied by Bilāl and said, ‘O Bilāl, proclaim to the people that the caliph after ʿUmar is ʿUthmān.’ He (Ibn ʿUmar) continued: The Prophet then lifted his head toward the sky and said, ‘O Bilāl, proceed; Allah has decreed none other than that,’ three times.”
No judgment—positive or negative—was recorded about him. A number of trustworthy narrators have transmitted from him, as you have seen, yet this ḥadīth is exceedingly objectionable; rather, it is fabricated. Nonetheless, the responsibility for it does not lie with him but with his shaykh, Saʿīd ibn ʿAbd al-Malik al-Ḥarrānī. In his biography, al-Dhahabī, citing al-Khaṭīb, said: “This is fabricated, whereas al-Rusʿānī, Allah willing, is of upright character.”
As for Ibrāhīm ibn al-Haytham al-Baladī, al-Khaṭīb (6/207) said: “Trustworthy and reliable; our teachers are unanimous concerning him.”
The rest of the transmitters in the isnād are trustworthy—men found in the collections of the Six—except for Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Baḥtarī. I have not found anyone who mentioned him, and al-Khaṭīb did not include him in his History, even though he ordinarily would meet his criteria; yet in this very report he is declared reliable, as you can see. Allah knows best.
The second report: On the authority of Fāṭimah, daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque, he would invoke blessings and peace upon Muḥammad and say, “My Lord, forgive me my sins and open for me…"
