Aḥmad also transmitted the report (4/40–41) through the route of Fulayh from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Bakr, with the wording: “Between the houses—that is, his houses—and my pulpit …,” and the remainder is identical except for the additional phrase: “and the pulpit stands on a canal from the canals of Paradise.”

Aḥmad (2/465; 533) likewise transmitted it from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī, from Mālik, with that same uncertainty.
Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr stated: “Thus have the narrators of the Muwaṭṭaʾ transmitted it with this uncertainty, except for Maʿn ibn ʿĪsā and Rūḥ ibn ʿUbādah, who said in it: ‘from Abū Hurayrah and Abū Saʿīd together,’ collectively, not…"
