recorded on audiocassettes, then transcribed and published under the title Commentary on Governance According to Islamic Law (1).
- We prepared an introduction to the book in which we discussed several matters relating to it, including its title, the reason it was written, its intended audience, confirmation of its attribution to the author, the new additions found in our copy, and the advantages of this edition over its predecessors. We then presented the book’s subjects and the author’s arrangement of them, followed by a survey of its printed editions and manuscripts.
At the end, we compiled comprehensive indexes of both kinds: word-based and subject-based.
All praise is due to Allah for granting success. May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his family and Companions.

٦ - صنعنا مقدمة للكتاب تكلمنا فيها على بعض المسائل المتعلقة بالكتاب؛ كاسمه، وسبب تأليفه، ولمن ألِّف، وإثبات نسبته للمؤلف، وعن الزيادات الجديدة في نسختنا، وميزة هذه الطبعة على سابقاتها، ثم عرضنا موضوعات الكتاب وترتيب المؤلف له، ثم مطبوعاته ومخطوطاته.
وفي ختامه صنعنا الفهارس الشاملة بنوعيها اللفظية والعلمية.
والحمد لله على توفيقه، وصلى الله وسلم على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين.
