Dāwūd ibn al-Ḥuṣayn narrated—from ʿIkrimah, from Ibn ʿAbbās—who said:
“The language of the people of Paradise is Arabic.” (1)
ʿUqayl likewise transmitted—from al-Zuhrī—that he said, “The language of the people of Paradise is Arabic.” (2)
Al-Bayhaqī relates, through two chains—both of which are weak—from Abū Karīmah al-Miqdām ibn Maʿdīkarib (may Allah be pleased with him):
[that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ] said, “No one who dies as a stillborn infant, nor as an aged man—and most people die somewhere between these two—will be resurrected except as a thirty-year-old,” and in another wording: “as a thirty-three-year-old. If he is among the people of Paradise, he will have the stature of Adam, the beauty of Joseph, and the heart of Job—hairless, beardless, eyes rimmed with kohl, endowed with varied perfections. Whoever is of the people of the Fire will be enlarged and swollen like mountains.”
Another narration adds: “until his skin becomes forty arm-spans thick (3), and one of his fangs is like [Mount] Uḥud.” (4)
It is firmly established that the people of Paradise eat and drink, yet neither urinate nor defecate. Rather, what issues from their food is perspiration whose scent is like musk; they belch with a fragrance of musk, and their very breath is praise (taḥmīd), magnification (takbīr), and glorification (tasbīḥ).
The first company among them to enter Paradise will shine like the full moon; those who follow them in brilliance will gleam like the brightest sparkling star in the sky. They will enjoy intimacy, yet no children will be born to them—except for whomever Allah wills. They will neither die nor sleep, owing to the perfection of their life, the abundance of their pleasures, and the uninterrupted flow of their bliss and joys. As their eternity lengthens, their beauty, loveliness, youth, and strength only increase; and Paradise itself grows for them in splendor, radiance, fragrance, brightness, delight, and light. They will be more eager for it than anything else and keener to remain in it, regarding it as the most precious, the dearest, the sweetest, and the most delightful gift,
as the Exalted says: “Abiding therein forever; they will never wish to move from it” (al-Kahf 18:108).
This is the very opposite of the condition of the people of this world, even when one of them lives in the utmost luxury.

The highest of all creation in rank within Paradise is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He will be the first to enter it, and his ummah will be the first of all communities to do so; the first of this ummah to enter Paradise will be Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq (may Allah be pleased with him). It has already been mentioned that this ummah will form the largest share of the inhabitants of Paradise, constituting two-thirds (5) of them—or half (6)—as
