Ibn Wahb said: “ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith told me, on the authority of Abū al-Samḥ, from Abū al-Haytham, from Abū Saʿīd, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited: ‘Gardens of perpetual residence into which they shall enter, adorned therein with bracelets of gold’ (Sūrah Fāṭir, 33). He then remarked: ‘They will have crowns upon their heads, and the least pearl on any of those crowns would illumine everything between the east and the west.’ Al-Tirmidhī has transmitted the portion mentioning crowns from this same isnād.⦗1⦘
Imām Aḥmad also narrated—through ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī, from Muḥammad ibn Abī al-Waḍḍāḥ, from al-ʿAlāʾ ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Rāfiʿ, from Ḥanān ibn Khārijah al-Sulamī, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr—who said:
A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, “O Messenger of Allah, tell us about the garments of the people of Paradise: are they created outright, or are they woven?” Some of those present laughed, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “What are you laughing at? At an ignorant person asking one who knows?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then lowered his head, and afterwards said, “Where is the questioner?” The man replied, “Here I am, O Messenger of Allah.” He said, “No; rather, the fruits of Paradise burst open and the garments come forth from them,” and he repeated this three times.
Aḥmad also recorded it through Abū Kāmil, from Ziyād ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUlāthah al-Qāṣṣ—Abū Sahl—from al-ʿAlāʾ ibn Rāfiʿ, from al-Farazdaq ibn Ḥanān⦗2⦘, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ … and he narrated something similar.⦗3⦘

Abū Bakr Ibn Abī al-Dunyā said: Muḥammad ibn Idrīs al-Ḥanẓalī narrated to us; Abū ʿUtbah narrated to us; Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us, from Saʿīd ibn Yūsuf, from Yaḥyā ibn Abī Kathīr, from Abū Sallām al-Aswad, who said that he heard Abū Umāmah relate from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ:
“There is not one of you who enters Paradise but that he will be led to Ṭūbā; its buds will open for him, revealing garments of every color. He may choose whatever he wishes—white if he wishes, red if he wishes, green if he wishes, yellow if he wishes, and black if he wishes—like crimson anemones, yet finer and more beautiful.” This is a ḥadith that is gharīb ḥasan.⦗5⦘
