Khilās, from Abū Rāfiʿ, from Abū Hurayrah, who related that the Prophet ﷺ said,
“Every believer will have two wives; the marrow of their shins will be visible from beneath their garments.” (1)
Al-Ṭabarānī said: Aḥmad ibn ʿAlī (2) and al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī al-Fasawī narrated to us; both said: Saʿīd ibn Sulaymān narrated to us; Fudayl ibn Marzūq narrated to us, from Abū Isḥāq, from ʿAmr ibn Maymūn, from ʿAbd Allāh, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said:
“The first company to enter Paradise will have faces shining like the full moon on its brightest night. The second company will be like the color of the most splendid, gleaming star in the sky. Each of them will have two wives from among the ḥūr al-ʿīn; upon every wife will be seventy robes, yet the marrow of their shins will be seen through their flesh and garments just as red drink is seen through a white glass vessel.”
Al-Ḍiyāʾ said: “In my judgment, this ḥadith meets the conditions of authenticity.” (3)
Aḥmad said: Yūnus ibn Muḥammad narrated to us; al-Khazraj ibn ʿUthmān al-Saʿdī narrated to us; Abū Ayyūb, the client of ʿUthmān ibn ʿAffān, narrated to us, from Abū Hurayrah, who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared:
“A space equal to the span of one of your whips in Paradise is better than the whole world and the like of it besides; and a bow-length of one of you in Paradise is better than the whole world and the like of it besides; and the veil (nasīf) of a woman in Paradise is better than the whole world and the like of it besides.”
I said, “O Abū Hurayrah, what is the nasīf?” He replied, “The khimār (head-cover).” I (the compiler) said: “People have criticized al-Khazraj ibn ʿUthmān al-Baṣrī, but this report has a corroborating witness in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, already cited from Anas, from the Prophet ﷺ, in which it states: ‘Even her nasīf—meaning her khimār—is better than the world and all it contains.’” (4)
Ḥarmalah narrated from Ibn Wahb: ʿAmr related to us that Darrāj Abū al-Samḥ narrated to him, from Abū al-Haytham, from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“In Paradise a man will recline for seventy years before he shifts himself. Then a woman will come to him and tap him on the shoulders; he will look and behold his own reflection in the sheen of her cheek, clearer than in a mirror. The smallest pearl upon her will illuminate what lies between the east and the west. She will greet him with salām; he will return the salām and ask, ‘Who are you?’ She will reply, ‘I am al-Mazīd (the increase).’ She will be wearing seventy garments, the innermost of which is like the nuʿmān (5) blossom of Ṭūbā, yet his gaze will pierce them until he sees the marrow of her shin from beyond them. Crowns will be set upon them, and the least pearl on those crowns will illuminate what lies between the east and the west.”
Aḥmad also recorded it through Ḥasan, from Ibn Luhayʿah, from Darrāj, with the same wording in full. (6)
