‘O Messenger of Allah, I hear you speak of a tree in Paradise; I know of no tree with more thorns than it’—meaning the talḥ.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied:
‘Its thorns have been blunted, and Allah has replaced every thorn with a fruit the size of a tethered billy-goat’s testicle. Inside each one are seventy varieties of food, each color distinct from the others.’ (1)

Al-Tirmidhī related from ʿAbd Allah ibn Masʿūd who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘On the night I was taken on the Night Journey I met Abraham, and he said, “O Muhammad, convey my greeting of peace to your community and tell them that Paradise has good soil and sweet water; it is a level plain, and its seedlings are: subḥān Allāh, al-ḥamdu lillāh, lā ilāha illā Allāh, and Allāhu akbar.”’ He (al-Tirmidhī) said: ḥasan, gharib; and there is also a report from Abū Ayyūb on this topic. Ibn Mājah transmitted from Abū Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by him while he was planting a sapling and said, ‘Shall I not direct you to a planting better than this? Subḥān Allāh, al-ḥamdu lillāh, lā ilāha illā Allāh, and Allāhu akbar; for each one of these a tree will be planted for you in Paradise.’ (3)
Al-Tirmidhī likewise narrated from Jābir that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘Whoever says: subḥān Allāh al-ʿaẓīm wa bi-ḥamdih, a date-palm will be planted for him in Paradise.’ He then said: This ḥadith is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ gharib. (4)

He also says, ‘And the Companions of the Right—what of the Companions of the Right? (27) amid thornless lote trees (28) and layered talḥ (29) and outspread shade (30) and gushing water (31) and abundant fruit (32) never cut off, never withheld (33) and raised couches’ (56:27-33),
meaning that their fruit is never interrupted at any time; rather, it is present in every season and age,
as He the Exalted says, ‘Its provision is everlasting, and its shade…’ (13:35), that is,
