for those before you differed and were ruined.” Al-Bukhārī alone records this; Muslim does not.
Another ḥadīth:
Al-Bukhārī said: ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿd narrated to us, from Ṣāliḥ, from Ibn Shihāb, who said: Abū Salamah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān reported that Abū Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The Jews and the Christians do not dye their hair, so differ from them.” Al-Bukhārī alone transmits it; Muslim does not. Abū Dāwūd likewise relates: “Pray in your sandals; differ from the Jews.”
Another ḥadīth:
Al-Bukhārī said: ʿAlī ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; Sufyān narrated to us, from ʿAmr, from Ṭāwūs, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: I heard ʿUmar declare, “May Allah combat so-and-so! Does he not know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘Allah cursed the Jews; fat was made unlawful for them, so they rendered it and then sold it.’” Muslim narrates it through Ibn ʿUyaynah, and also through ʿAmr ibn Dīnār with the same wording.
Al-Bukhārī then added: (Abū Jābir and Abū Hurayrah likewise reported it from the Prophet ﷺ.)
This ḥadīth has numerous chains. It will appear again under the Chapter of Stratagems in the Book of Legal Rulings, God willing, and in Him we place our trust.
Another ḥadīth:
Al-Bukhārī said: ʿImrān ibn Maysarah narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Wārith narrated to us; Khālid narrated to us, from Abū Qilābah, from Anas ibn Mālik, who said: “They discussed the fire and the bell, mentioning the Jews and the Christians, so Bilāl was instructed to pronounce the adhān in doubled phrases and the iqāmah in single phrases…”
