and what harm is it to you if Allah — exalted is He — admits us all into Paradise?” ʿUmar replied, “Indeed Allah — exalted is He — , if He wills, can bring His creation into Paradise with a single handful.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “ʿUmar has spoken the truth.” (1)

[Another chain from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him)]
Al-Ḥāfiẓ Abū Yaʿlā said: Muḥammad ibn Abī Bakr narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Qāhir ibn al-Sarī al-Sulamī narrated to us; Ḥumayd narrated from Anas, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said:
“Seventy thousand of my ummah will enter Paradise.”
They said, “Increase us, O Messenger of Allah.”
He said, “For every man there will be seventy thousand.”
They said, “Increase us, O Messenger of Allah,” and he was standing on a sand-hill, whereupon he scattered dust with both his hands.
They said, “Increase us, O Messenger of Allah.”
He said, “And thus,” and again scattered with his hand.
They said, “O Prophet of Allah, may Allah keep far away anyone who still enters the Fire after this!”
Al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Ḍiyāʾ said: I know of this being transmitted from Anas only through this chain. Ibn Maʿīn was asked about ʿAbd al-Qāhir and said, “He is ṣāliḥ (acceptable).” (2)

[Another rare hadith]
Al-Ṭabarānī said: Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ ibn al-Walīd al-Narsī and Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā ibn Manda al-Aṣbahānī narrated to us; they said: Abū Ḥafṣ ʿAmr ibn ʿAlī narrated to us; Muʿādh ibn Hishām narrated to us; my father narrated to me, from Qatādah, from Abū Bakr ibn Anas, from Abū Bakr ibn ʿUmayr, from his father, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said:
“Indeed Allah, exalted be He, has promised me that He will admit three hundred thousand from my ummah into Paradise.”
ʿUmayr said, “O Messenger of Allah, increase us.”
He gestured likewise with his hand.
ʿUmayr said, “O Messenger of Allah, increase us.”
ʿUmar said, “That is enough for you, O ʿUmayr.”
ʿUmayr retorted, “What business is it of yours, son of al-Khaṭṭāb? And what harm is it to you if Allah admits us into Paradise?”
ʿUmar said, “If Allah wills, He can admit the people into Paradise with a single handful or a single scoop.”
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “ʿUmar has spoken the truth.”
Al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Ḍiyāʾ remarked: I know of no other hadith from ʿUmayr apart from this one. (3)
