Al-Bukhārī said:
Saʿīd ibn Abī Maryam narrated to us; Abū Ghassān narrated to us; he said: Abū Ḥāzim related to me, from Sahl ibn Saʿd, who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Seventy thousand of my community—or seven hundred thousand,” he was uncertain which—“shall most certainly enter Paradise hand in hand, each clinging to the other, until the first of them and the last of them enter together. Their faces will shine with the light of the full moon.” Al-Bukhārī and Muslim also transmitted it through Qutaybah, from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Abī Ḥāzim, from his father, with this wording ⦗1⦘.

Imām Aḥmad said:
Hāshim ibn al-Qāsim narrated to us; al-Masʿūdī narrated to us; Bukayr ibn al-Akhnas related to me, from a man, from Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “I have been granted seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without any reckoning; their faces will be like the full moon, and their hearts will be as the heart of a single man. I then asked my Lord—Exalted is He—for more, and He added, for each one, another seventy thousand.” Abū Bakr continued, “[In my view] that number will reach the townsfolk and will extend even to the fringes of the desert dwellers.” ⦗2⦘

Aḥmad also said:
ʿAbd al-Ṣamad narrated to us; Ḥammād narrated to us, from ʿĀṣim, from Zirr, from Ibn Masʿūd, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was shown the nations at the time of the pilgrimage, and his own community seemed few to him ⦗3⦘. He said:
“I was then shown my community, and I was delighted by their great number; they had filled the plain and the mountain. It was said to me, ‘With these are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning: those who neither cauterize themselves, nor seek ruqyah, nor take omens, and who place their trust in their Lord.’”
ʿUkāshah said, “O Messenger of Allah, pray that Allah make me one of them.” So he prayed for him.
Another man then stood and said, “O Messenger of Allah, pray that Allah make me one of them.”
He replied, “ʿUkāshah has beaten you to it.” ⦗4⦘
The ḥāfiẓ added: In my estimation, this chain fulfills the conditions of Muslim ⦗5⦘.
