ʿAbd Rabbih ibn Saʿīd (1) transmitted from Saʿīd al-Maqburī, from Abū Hurayrah, who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared:
“None enters the Fire except the wretched.”
They asked, “Messenger of Allah, and who is the wretched?”
He replied, “The one who never acted in obedience to Allah and never abstained, for His sake, from disobedience.”
This chain of transmission is also weak (2).
In Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, in the ḥadith of Abū Burdah ibn Abī Mūsā, from his father, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“When the Day of Resurrection comes, Allah—Exalted is He—will assign to every Muslim a Jew or a Christian and will say, ‘This is your ransom from the Fire.’”
In another wording:
“No Muslim dies without Allah admitting in his place into the Fire a Jew or a Christian.”
ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz then put Abū Burdah under oath by Allah, besides Whom there is no god, three times, that his father had related this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ; so he swore it to him.
Another narration in Muslim reads:
“The Day of Resurrection will see people from among the Muslims coming with sins as massive as mountains. Allah will forgive them and will lay those sins upon the Jews and the Christians.” (3)
Ibn Mājah said: Jabbārah ibn al-Mughallis narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Aʿlā ibn Abī al-Misāwir narrated to us, from Abū Burdah, from his father, who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“When Allah gathers the whole creation on the Day of Resurrection, permission will be granted to the community of Muhammad ﷺ to prostrate, and they will prostrate for a long time (4).
Then it will be said, ‘Raise your heads; We have made the number of you a ransom for you from the Fire.’” (5)
Al-Ṭabarānī said: Muḥammad ibn ʿUthmān ibn Abī Shaybah related to us; Aḥmad ibn Yūnus related to us; Saʿd Abū Ghīlān al-Shaybānī related to us, from Ḥammād ibn Abī Sulaymān, from Ibrāhīm, from Ṣilah ibn Zufar, from Ḥudhayfah, who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“By Him in Whose hand is my soul, the man who was profligate in his religion and the one who was simple-minded in his livelihood shall assuredly enter Paradise; and by Him in Whose hand is my soul, the man whom the Fire has already scorched because of his sin shall assuredly enter Paradise; and by Him in Whose hand is my soul, on the Day of Resurrection Allah will grant such forgiveness that Iblīs will crane his neck in hope that it might reach him.” (6)
[Mention of those who will enter Paradise from this community without reckoning]
Al-Bukhārī said: ʿImrān ibn Maysarah narrated to us; Ibn Fuḍayl narrated to us; Ḥuṣayn—(ḥ)—and Usayd ibn Zayd narrated to us; Hushaym narrated to us, from Ḥuṣayn, who said:
“I was with Saʿīd ibn Jubayr, and he said: ‘Ibn ʿAbbās told me that the Prophet…’”
