Al-Bayhaqī also related the report through another chain: from Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā (1) al-Dhuhalī, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī, from Qurrah ibn Khālid, from Abū Ḥamzah—Ṭalḥah ibn Yazīd, the freedman of the Anṣār—from Abū Barzah, concerning his meeting with ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Ziyād, in wording similar to what has already been cited (2).
Abū Bakr ibn Abī ʿĀṣim said:
“ʿAbdah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥīm narrated to us; al-Naḍr ibn Shumayl narrated to us; Shaddād ibn Saʿīd narrated to us. I heard Abū al-Wāziʿ—Jābir ibn ʿAmr—who heard Abū Barzah al-Aslamī say: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:
‘The distance between the two sides of my Pool is like that from Aylah to Ṣanʿāʾ, a month’s journey. Its width is the same as its length. Into it fall two gutters (3) from Paradise, one of silver and one of gold. Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey, and it contains ewers as numerous as the stars in the sky.’ (4)

Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim said:
“ʿUqbah ibn Mukram narrated to us; Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Shaybānī narrated to us; from Ṣāliḥ; from Sayyār ibn Salāmah al-Riyāḥī; from his father; from Abū Barzah, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:
‘Indeed, on the Day of Resurrection I will have a Pool whose breadth is like the distance from Aylah to Ṣanʿāʾ. Its water is even whiter than milk and sweeter than honey, and it holds ewers as numerous as the stars in the sky. Whoever drinks a single draught from it will never be thirsty again, and whoever denies it—may Allah not allow him to drink,’ meaning: from it (5).
Narration of Abū Bakrah al-Thaqafī (may Allah be pleased with him) (6)
Abū Bakr ibn Abī al-Dunyā said in Al-Ahwāl: “Aḥmad ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us; Rawḥ narrated to us; Ḥammād ibn Zayd narrated to us; from ʿAlī ibn Zayd; from al-Ḥasan; from Abū Bakrah, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
‘I will precede you at the Pool.’ (7)
