the salt-flat at Marr Qanāh (1); and the ones who will flock to him in greatest numbers will be women, to the point that a man will return to his father-in-law, his mother, his daughter, his sister and his paternal aunt and will tie them firmly, fearing that they might go out to him. Then Allah will give the Muslims power over him: they will kill him and they will kill his followers, until a Jew will hide behind a tree or a rock and the rock or the tree will say to the Muslim, “There is a Jew beneath me—come and kill him.” Aḥmad alone transmitted this through this chain (2).

Aḥmad said: ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us; Maʿmar narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī, from Sālim, from Ibn ʿUmar, who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among the people, praised Allah Most High as He deserves, and then mentioned the Dajjāl. He said, “I am warning you about him. Every prophet has warned his own people, and Noah ﷺ warned his people; but I shall say to you about him something no prophet has ever said to his people: you must know that he is one-eyed, and that Allah (Exalted is He) is not one-eyed.” This has already been cited in the Ṣaḥīḥ in connection with the report of Ibn Ṣayyād (3).
And with this same chain, from Ibn ʿUmar, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “You will fight the Jews, and you will be given authority over them, until the stone says, ‘O Muslim, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him.’” The original form of this ḥadith is found in the two Ṣaḥīḥs, through al-Zuhrī with similar wording (4).

Aḥmad said: Yaʿqūb narrated to us; ʿĀṣim ibn Muḥammad narrated to us, from his brother ʿUmar ibn Muḥammad, from Muḥammad ibn Zayd—meaning Abū ʿUmar ibn Muḥammad—who said:
ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUmar said: We used to talk about the Farewell Pilgrimage without knowing that it was the Prophet’s farewell. When the Farewell Pilgrimage came, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon in which he mentioned al-Masīḥ al-Dajjāl and spoke at great length about him. He then said: “Allah has not sent a prophet except that he warned his nation. Noah warned his nation, and the prophets after him did likewise. As for anything about him that may remain hidden from you, let it never be hidden that your Lord is not one-eyed. As for anything about him that may remain hidden from you, let it never be hidden from you that your Lord is not one-eyed.” Aḥmad alone transmitted this through this route (5).
