Its chain of transmission meets Muslim’s criteria, yet he did not include it. (1)
Abū Yaʿlā said: Abū Hāshim narrated to us; Abū ʿĀmir narrated to us; Zamʿah ibn Ṣāliḥ narrated to us, from Salamah ibn Wahrām, from ʿIkrimah, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said:
The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—came out carrying al-Ḥasan on his shoulder. A man said to the child, “Young lad, what an excellent mount you have!” The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—replied, “And what an excellent rider he is.” (2)
Imām Aḥmad said (3): Talīd ibn Sulaymān narrated to us; Abū al-Jaḥḥāf (4) narrated to us, from Abū Ḥāzim, from Abū Hurayrah, who said:
The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—looked at ʿAlī, al-Ḥasan, al-Ḥusayn, and Fāṭimah, and declared, “I am at war with whoever fights you, and at peace with whoever makes peace with you.”

Asbāṭ likewise reported it from al-Suddī, from Ṣubayḥ, the freedman of Umm Salamah, from Zayd ibn Arqam with similar wording.

Aḥmad also said (9): Muḥammad ibn Abī ʿAdī narrated to us, from Ibn ʿAwn (10), from ʿUmayr ibn Isḥāq, who said: I was with
