This is the last of the material that Allah has enabled me to gather of the reports dealing with the unseen—events that have actually occurred up to our own day and that fall under the proofs of Prophethood. Allah alone is the Guide.

When, by Allah’s will, we have finished setting forth the happenings that took place after his death—may Allah have mercy on them—down to our time, we shall proceed to mention the tribulations and epic battles (fitan and malāḥim) that will arise at the end of days. Thereafter we shall present the portents of the Hour (ashrāṭ al-sāʿah), then discuss the resurrection and the reviving of the dead (al-baʿth wa’l-nushūr), followed by what will occur on the Day of Judgment of terrors and incomparable majesty. We shall next speak of the Prophet’s Basin (al-ḥawḍ), the Balance (al-mīzān), and the Bridge (al-ṣirāṭ); after that we shall describe the Fire, and finally the Garden.
