Al-Bidayah wa an-NihayahIbn Kathir

Allah the Exalted says:
“so that He may cause it to prevail over every other religion” (Qur’an 9:33),
and He also says: “Allah has promised those of you who believe and do righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession in the land …” (Qur’an 24:55).

In Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, on the authority of Abū Naḍrah from Abū Saʿīd, it is related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“The world is sweet and green, and Allah is appointing you as vice-gerents therein to see how you will act. So beware of the world and beware of women, for the first trial of the Children of Israel was over women.” (1)

In another narration he said:
“I have not left behind me any trial more harmful to men than women.” (2)

In the two Ṣaḥīḥs, through al-Zuhrī, from ʿUrwah ibn al-Miswar, from ʿAmr ibn ʿAwf—who mentioned the story of Abū ʿUbaydah’s mission to Bahrain—it is reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Rejoice and look forward to what will please you. By Allah, it is not poverty that I fear for you; rather, I fear that the world will be spread out before you as it was spread out for those before you. You will then compete for it as they competed, and it will destroy you just as it destroyed them.” (3)

In the two Ṣaḥīḥs, through Sufyān al-Thawrī, from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir, from Jābir, it is related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked:
“Do you have any anmāṭ (decorated furnishings)?”
I replied, “O Messenger of Allah, how could we possibly have anmāṭ?”
He said, “Indeed, you will have anmāṭ.”
So I say to my wife, “Remove your anmāṭ from me,” and she replies, “Did not the Messenger of Allah say, ‘You will indeed have anmāṭ’?”—and thus I leave them. (4)

In the two Ṣaḥīḥs, the Musnads, the Sunan and other collections, through Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, from his father, from ʿAbd Allah ibn al-Zubayr, from Sufyān ibn Abī Zuhayr, it is related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Yemen will be opened, and people will set out for it (yabussūn), taking along their families and all who obey them; yet Madinah is better for them, if only they knew.” (5)(6)
