Al-Bayhaqī relates: Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Ḥāfiẓ informed us; Abū ʿAbd Allāh Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Iṣfahānī—dictating—told us; Abū Ismāʿīl al-Tirmidhī Muḥammad ibn Ismāʿīl narrated to us; ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Awīsī narrated to us; ʿAlī ibn Abī ʿAlī al-Lahabī narrated to us, from Ibn Abī Dhʿīb, from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once went out with ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb. A woman approached him and said, “O Messenger of Allah, I am a believing woman in the state of iḥrām, and at home I have a husband who is, as far as I am concerned, no different from a woman.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Call your husband to me.” She did so, and he turned out to be a butcher. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, “What do you say about your wife, O servant of Allah?” The man replied, “By the One who has honoured you, my head has not dried of her [i.e., I have hardly been apart from her].” His wife interjected, “He comes to me only once in the month.”
The Prophet ﷺ asked her, “Do you dislike him?” She answered, “Yes.” He then said, “Bring your heads together.” He placed her forehead against her husband’s and supplicated: “O Allah, reconcile them and place love for each within the heart of the other.”
Later the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed through the Namṭ market with ʿUmar. The same woman appeared, carrying hides on her head. When she saw the Prophet ﷺ she put her load down, hurried over, and kissed his feet. He asked, “How are things between you and your husband now?” She replied, “By the One who has honoured you, nothing—whether newly gained or long-held—is dearer to me than he is.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “I bear witness that I am the Messenger of Allah.” ʿUmar said, “And I too bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah.”
Abū ʿAbd Allāh remarked, “This report is transmitted only by ʿAlī ibn Abī ʿAlī al-Lahabī, and he is known for narrating oddities.”
Al-Bayhaqī adds: Yūsuf ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir reported this story from his father, from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh, but without mentioning ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb.

Abū al-Qāsim al-Baghawī said: Kāmil ibn Ṭalḥah narrated to us; Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us; ʿAlī ibn Zayd ibn Judʿān narrated to us, from Abū al-Ṭufayl:
A man was blessed with a newborn son, so he brought the child to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Prophet invoked blessing for him, placed his hand on the boy’s forehead, and a single hair sprouted there, stiff like the forelock of a horse. The child grew up, and when the time of the Khawārij arrived he joined their ranks, whereupon the hair fell from his forehead and his father seized him
