It is related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was visited by a disbelieving guest. He ordered that a sheep be brought, it was milked, and the man drank its milk. Another was brought and he drank its milk, then a third, until he had consumed the milk of seven sheep. The next morning he accepted Islam and returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. A sheep was milked for him and he drank its milk; a second was brought, but he could not finish it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“A Muslim drinks with one intestine, whereas a disbeliever drinks with seven intestines.”
Muslim also narrated this report through the chain of Mālik.

Al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Bayhaqī said: ʿAlī ibn Aḥmad ibn ʿAbdān informed us; Aḥmad ibn ʿUbayd aṣ-Ṣaffār narrated to us; Muḥammad ibn al-Faḍl ibn Ḥātim narrated to us; al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd al-Awwal narrated to us; Ḥafṣ ibn Ghiyāth narrated to us; al-Aʿmash from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from Abū Hurayrah, who said:
A Bedouin came as a guest to the Prophet ﷺ. He looked for something to offer him but found only a crust of bread in a wall niche. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ broke it into pieces, invoked blessing upon it, and said, “Eat!” The man ate and some was left over. He then said, “O Muḥammad, you are truly a righteous man.” The Prophet ﷺ replied, “Embrace Islam.” He answered, “You are truly a righteous man.”
Al-Bayhaqī also transmitted it—through Sahl ibn ʿUthmān, from Ḥafṣ ibn Ghiyāth with the same chain—in like manner.
