Another chain from Anas ibn Mālik
Imām Aḥmad said (1): “ʿAbd Allāh ibn Numayr related to us; Saʿd—meaning the son of Saʿīd ibn Qays—related to us; he informed me that Anas ibn Mālik said:
‘Abū Ṭalḥah sent me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to invite him, for he had prepared a meal for him. I went, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was walking along with some people. He looked at me, and I felt too shy to speak, so I merely said, “Answer Abū Ṭalḥah.”
He thereupon said to the people, “Rise.”
Abū Ṭalḥah said, “O Messenger of Allah, I made something only for you.”
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ touched the food, invoked blessing upon it, and then said,
“Bring in a group of ten of my Companions.”
He added, “Eat.” They ate until they were satisfied and then went out. He said,
“Bring in another ten.”
They ate until they were full. He kept bringing ten in and sending ten out until none of them remained without having entered, eaten, and been satisfied. Then he set the dish aside, and behold—it was exactly as it had been before they ate from it.’
Muslim also narrated this ḥadīth (2) through Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah and Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Numayr—both from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Numayr—and through Saʿīd ibn Yaḥyā al-Umawī (3) from his father, all from Saʿd ibn Saʿīd ibn Qays al-Anṣārī.

Muslim likewise related it (4) in the Book of Foods through ʿAbd ibn Ḥumayd, from Khālid ibn Makhlad, from Muḥammad ibn Mūsā, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Ṭalḥah, from Anas, with wording similar to the above.
Abū Yaʿlā al-Mawṣilī also reported it through Muḥammad ibn ʿAbbād al-Makkī, from Ḥātim, from Muʿāwiyah ibn Abī Muzarrad, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Ṭalḥah, from his father, from Abū Ṭalḥah, and he mentioned the story. Allah knows best (5).
Another chain from Anas
Imām Aḥmad said (6): “ʿAlī ibn ʿĀṣim related to us; Ḥuṣayn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān related to us; from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylā; from Anas ibn Mālik, who said:
‘Abū Ṭalḥah brought two mudd of barley, ordered that it be made into food, and then said to me—’
