Allah, exalted is He, revealed to Jesus son of Mary:
“Be earnest about My command and do not treat it lightly. Listen and obey, O son of the pure, chaste woman. I created you without a male and made you a sign for all peoples; so worship Me alone and place your trust in Me. Make clear (1) to the people of Sūrān (2) that I am the Ever-Living Truth Who never perishes. Let them believe in the Arab Prophet—the rider of the camel, the wearer of the coat of mail and the turban (which is his crown) (3), the bearer of the sandals and the staff; curly-haired, with an open forehead, joined eyebrows, large dark eyes, an aquiline nose, luminous cheeks, and a thick beard. The sweat upon his face is like pearls, and the fragrance of musk wafts from him. His neck is as a pitcher of silver, as though gold flows along the hollow of his throat. A line of hair runs from the upper chest to the navel like a rod, with no other hair upon his chest or belly. His hands and feet are sturdy. When he is among people his presence envelops them; when he walks it is as though he is stepping down from rock and descending a slope. He will have but few descendants. (6)(7)”
Al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Bayhaqī also transmitted, with his chain, from Wahb ibn Munabbih al-Yamanī, who said:
When Allah drew Moses near for intimate discourse, Moses said, “My Lord, I find in the Torah mention of a community that is ‘the best community raised up for mankind: they enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and believe in Allah.’ Make them my community.” He said, “That is the community of Aḥmad.”
Moses said, “My Lord, I find in the Torah a community who are the last of nations yet the foremost on the Day of Resurrection. Make them my community.” He said, “That is the community of Aḥmad.”
Moses said, “My Lord, I find in the Torah a community whose scriptures are in their hearts—they recite them from memory—whereas those before them read their books only by sight and did not memorize them. Make them my community.” He said, “That is the community of Aḥmad.”
Moses said, “My Lord, I find in the Torah a community who believe in the First and the Last Book and who fight the leaders of misguidance until they battle the one-eyed impostor. Make them my community.” He said, “That is the community of Aḥmad.”
Moses said, “My Lord, I find in the Torah a community who consume their own charities, whereas those before them, when any of them offered his charity, You sent down fire to consume it; if it was not accepted, the fire would not approach it. Make them my community.” He said, “That is the community of Aḥmad.”
Moses said, “My Lord, I find in the Torah a community such that when one of them intends an evil deed it is not recorded against him; if he commits it, it is written as a single evil. When one of them intends a good deed but does not perform it, it is recorded for him as one good deed; and if he performs it, it is recorded for him as ten good deeds up to seven hundredfold. Make them my community.” He said, “That is the community of Aḥmad.”
