Section

The time has now come for us to present what still remains of the subjects connected to the noble Prophetic biography. They comprise four books:

1. The first concerns the Shamāʾil—the Prophet’s outward appearance and refined character.
2. The second addresses the Dalāʾil—the proofs of his prophethood.
3. The third treats the Faḍāʾil—his virtues and merits.
4. The fourth discusses the Khaṣāʾiṣ—the unique distinctions granted exclusively to him.

Allah’s help is sought; upon Him alone we rely. There is no power and no strength except through Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
