Uzaynah al-Ṭāʾī (1) related—through Thawr ibn Yazīd, from Khālid ibn Maʿdān, from Muʿādh ibn Jabal—who said:
While the Prophet ﷺ was at Khaybar, a black donkey came and halted in front of him. He ﷺ asked, “Who are you?” It answered, “I am ʿAmr ibn so-and-so. We were seven brothers; every one of us was ridden by a prophet, and I am the youngest. I was assigned to you. Later a man from the Jews came to own me, and whenever I remembered you I would stumble beneath him, so he would beat me severely.”
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Then you are Yaʿfūr.”
This ḥadīth is exceedingly strange.
