Imām Abū ʿAbd Allāh Muḥammad ibn Idrīs al-Shāfiʿī said: Mālik narrated to us, from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah, who said: “The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) was shrouded in three white Saḥūlī garments, with neither a shirt nor a turban.” Al-Bukhārī likewise recorded it from Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Uways, from Mālik.
